Chongqing City of China, abbreviated as “Yu”and known as Mountain City , is a provincial level municipality, National Central City, and a mega city, approved by State Council as one of the most important central cities in China. The city is the industrial center of the upper Yangtze River basin, National modern manufacturing base, the leading river port and transportation hub of Southwest China. It is the logistic hub, the strategic pivot of west development, and important connection point for Belt and Road and Yangtze River belt economy zone.

It has been well known for its beautiful sceneries with high mountains and rivers. It has been named as river city, fog city, bridge city and Mountain city has been most widely known.

Chongqing has rich tourism resources, featuring by Yangtze River Three Gorges, the World Culture Heritage Site Dazu Rock Carving, the World Nature Heritage Site Wulong Karst and Nanchuan Jinfo Mountain etc.

Chongqing is the largest industrial and commercial city in Southwest China, and an important manufacturing base in the country. There are 10 national key laboratories, 10 national engineering technology research center, 68 universities and colleges, China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, and strategic projects including China-Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Interconnection Demonstration Project, Liangjiang New Area, Yuxinou International railways and Western (Chongqing) Science City.
